about us

our story
In Sherry’s family, coffee was never just a beverage—it was a ritual, a shared moment, and a connection to heritage. From childhood afternoons spent dipping fresh bread into rich Vietnamese coffee at relatives’ homes to her first sip at the age of ten, coffee was always at the center of togetherness.
It wasn’t until the quietness during the COVID-19 pandemic that Sherry became truly curious about what goes into every bag of coffee. One simple question sparked it all: What exactly makes great coffee?
That question led to a deep dive into the world of specialty coffee. She immersed herself in roasting techniques, origin characteristics, and the complex journey coffee beans travel from farm to cup. The more she learned, the more she noticed that much of the coffee on grocery store shelves felt over-roasted, dull, or disconnected from its origins.
Every coffee variety is sourced from trusted specialty-grade producers and farmers who are fairly compensated. Ethical sourcing is at the core of every decision, not just a label.
Coffee Society exists to help people rediscover coffee as it was meant to be—complex in flavor, rooted in story, and genuinely worth sharing.

our approach
We approach our coffee in an obsessive way.
Our coffee offerings are curated with intention. After sample roasting dozens of specialty-grade, single farm origin coffee, only a few end up making the cut.
In our curation process, we look for unique tasting notes (such as brightness, earthiness, floral, and fruited accents) for beans that work with multiple brew methods.
Roasting is done with care and intention—never dark enough to mask the bean’s natural characteristics or leave them excessively oily. Every coffee offered is one we personally enjoy, chosen for its quality, uniqueness, and ability to tell a story through flavor.

we're on a mission
Our mission is to build a community where coffee enthusiasts, home brewers, and roasters can connect through their shared passion.
We celebrate the craft and care that goes into every cup, and believe that the joy of coffee—its flavors, stories, and rituals—is best when shared.
